What is Wingman 2v2?
Wingman is a compact CS2 format with two players on each team and maps designed or adapted for short, intense rounds. Communication, coordination and quick decisions matter greatly.
Arena66 separates 2v2 from 5v5 across lobby size, player requirements, map pool, team allocation and event setup.
Public 2v2 Gather
Players fill a four-person lobby, confirm they are ready and complete any configured map selection. Arena66 creates teams and assigns a compatible available server.
Public rated Gathers draw teams randomly; Arena Rating does not control the draw. Completed integrated matches update rating and statistics.
Private match with friends
A Private Friend Gather lets invited players select sides. The creator must provide a personal compatible server.
Private Gathers never use the public server pool and do not affect Arena Rating.
2v2 tournament
The organiser chooses 2v2 format, team limit, series and Wingman map pool. Captains enter eligible rosters under the event rules.
Bracket, server, maps, result and player data can follow the same automated workflow used for larger events.
Maps and series format
Available maps come from the Gather or event map pool. Voting reduces the pool before the final configuration reaches the server.
BO1 supports fast rounds, while a multi-map series needs a broader pool and more time. The event page shows the active format.

How many players does a Wingman Gather require?+
Four players in total, split into two teams of two.
Can I choose my teammate?+
A supported public party can keep two friends together. Private Friend Gathers allow team selection but require the creator’s own server.
Does it use Wingman maps?+
Yes. 2v2 setup uses a dedicated map pool suitable for Wingman.
Does 2v2 affect Arena Rating?+
A public rated 2v2 Gather can count. Private Friend Gathers are unrated.
